So, I was planning on doing it all the old fashioned way, getting my results in a nice fancy big envelope. I wasn't at all nervous the night before, but to stop myself waking up far too early and sitting around for hours nervously killing myself waiting for the postman I made sure I stayed up as late as possible and got absolutely exhausted so the next morning I would sleep until the postman came.
However, I missed one minor detail...
I completely forgot that I had signed up for this new thing on the SQA (Scottish Qualification's Authority) website to receive my results by text. Thinking back I signed up for it to see if it actually worked but wasn't actually planning on reading the text.
Anyway, like I said, I completely forgot, so, when I was woken up by the sound of my phone going off I though " Ahh, a friend texting me with their results", so I opened the text, and then realised what it was. I only glanced at the text before flipping over my phone, thinking " Nooo, I don't want to see that." and then "...wait...did that say...". So unable to restrain any longer I turned my phone over again to see my results, read them, screamed, and rolled about in my bed with the biggest smile I've ever worn in my life.
Here they are:
For those who don't understand the scottish grade systme I'll quickly explain.
At my age you're only supposed to do exams called "standard grades" which is the level most do all their exams at. The marking for that goes as follows.
1 or 2 - Credit level, the highest. One being at the top end, 2 being at the lower end but still at the highest level of credit.
3 or 4 - General level
5 or 6 - Foundation level, the lowest level.
However, if the school and your teacher for a subject is absolutely positive you are going to acheive a very very good 1 at standard grade, they can enter you for a different course called "Intermidiate" instead. This is pretty much just a level above a credit. This doesn't happen to many people at my age but a few people from my year, including myself, got entered for several Intermidate 2 exams rather than standard grade. And at Inetrmidiate the levels are just
A - top
B
C
D - fail
So, here are all my results now you hopefully understand how the grades work.
Intermidiate 2 Geography - A
Intermidiate 2 History - A
Intermidiate 2 Maths - A
Standard Grade Chemistry - 1
Standard Grade English - 1
Standard Grade French -1
Standard Grade Music - 2
Standard GradePhysics - 2
:)
So yeah, rather chuffed to be honest because...
Geography - my teacher hated me and couldn't control the class, plus the exam was really really difficult.
History - the exam wasn't that hard but I couldn't answer a few questions.
Maths - soo shocked! I've never been good at maths, infact i was so bad I had to get a tutor for help!
Chemistry - pretty shocked aswell to be honest. I expected a 2 or a 3 because chemistry was never my strongest subject and for a whole year we basically didn't have a teacher, the teacher we had was soo bad! Obviously the hard work i did at home paid off :)
English - really happy with this as well. I expected a definate 2, apparently not :)
French - not surprised haha. I'm fluent in french, my mum's Belgian.
Music - what I expected, I got a 1 in listening, invention and singing but the fact that I'm not good enough at piano to get a 1 out my matrk down. Ahh well, a 2 is still awesome :)
Physic - surprised in the extreme. I hate physics, my teacher hated me, ALOT, and I didn't work very ahrd because I hated the subject so much. really pleased.
So yeah, happyhappyhappy..
New camera tomorrow guys!!

And you were going on about how worried you were, what a bunch of false modesty. Congrats though, and I look forward to more vids in the near future.
